混合集成半导体光放大器的高速长距离收发模块设计

【摘要】 文章论述一种集成了半导体光放大器SOA结合光电二极管PD以及电吸收可调制激光器EML的光收发模块,由于SOA与PD之间建立了光反馈系统,通过光反馈系统使得PD始终工作在最佳工作区间段,因此光模块具有极高的接收灵敏度,1×10-12误码率时约为-25 dBm,5×10-5误码率时约为-31 dBm。波分复用技术的导入,使得远距离传输得以大量节省光纤的使用量;精密结构件的设计,让原本复杂的光路耦合变得简单反馈易操作。

【Abstract】 This article discusses a optical transceiver module that integrates a semiconductor optical amplifier(SOA)with a photodiode(PD)and an electro-absorption modulated laser(EML),due to the establishment of an optical feedback system between the SOA and PD,the PD is always operated within its optimal working range,therefore,the optical module has extremely high receiving sensitivity,about-25 dBm at 1×10-12 bit error rate,and about-31 dBm at 5×10-5 bit error rate. The introduction of wavelength division multiplexing technology allows for significant savings in the application amount of fiber optic cables for long-distance transmission.The design of precision structural components simplifies what was originally a complex optical path coupling,making it easy to operate through simple feedback mechanisms.
