【Abstract】 Taurine is a kind of free amino acid found in animals that exhibits various biological functions, including anti-oxidation, anti-apoptosis, adjusting hormone release and regulating inflammatory cytokines release. It also offers protective effects on the digestive, respiratory, urinary and reproductive systems. In recent years, taurine has garnered significant attention as a feed additive in animal husbandry and disease treatment. This paper reviews the physicochemical properties and safety of taurine, as well as its protective effects on multiple systems in recent studies, aiming to provide a theoretical basis for the application of taurine in animal production and disease treatment applications.更多还原
