从锁定到协同:“专精特新”企业资源优势重塑机制研究
From Lock-in to Synergy: Research on the Resource Advantage Reshaping Mechanism of “Specialized, Refined, Distinctive, and Innovative” Enterprises
【摘要】 数字化和信息技术的快速发展推动创新活动跨组织扩散,创新网络逐渐成为企业获取关键资源和实现协同创新的重要载体。作为中国经济高质量发展的重要引擎,“专精特新”企业在突破关键核心技术的同时,普遍面临资源禀赋受限和网络嵌入受约束的双重压力,亟须在创新网络演进过程中实现资源优势重塑。已有研究多从静态视角考察资源属性或单一网络关系,缺乏对创新网络演化中资源优势如何实现阶段跃迁过程的解释的分析。因此,聚焦于中国消防电子产业中的典型“专精特新”企业,立足网络-资源共演视角,采用纵向单案例研究方法进行追踪,系统刻画企业在不同发展阶段创新网络嵌入和资源的演进轨迹,以揭示创新网络演化、资源行动组合与资源优势形成之间的内在逻辑。研究发现:(1)“专精特新”企业的创新网络嵌入呈现由封闭自我网络、行业竞争网络向产业生态网络递进的阶段性路径;(2)企业资源优势沿专新能力-精特能力-协同能力实现梯次跃迁,分别对应生存性资源优势、发展性资源优势和协同性资源优势;(3)创新网络和资源优势形成双向驱动的共演机制,创新网络通过结构赋能引导资源行动取向,资源优势跃迁又反向重塑企业网络位势。从创新网络嵌入视角揭示“专精特新”企业资源优势重塑的过程机理,拓展了资源理论在创新网络下的解释边界,为“专精特新”企业通过网络嵌入和资源行动重塑资源优势提供了情境化启示。
【Abstract】 The rapid advancement of digitization and information technologies has propelled the cross-organizational diffusion of innovation activities, making innovation networks an increasingly vital conduit for enterprises to access critical resources and achieve collaborative innovation. As a key driver of China′s high-quality economic development, “Specialized, Sophisticated, Distinctive, and Innovative” enterprises(commonly referred to as “Little Giants”) face a dual dilemma: While tasked with achieving breakthroughs in core technologies, they are often constrained by limited resource endowments and restricted network embeddedness. This predicament necessitates a reshaping of their resource advantages throughout the evolution of their innovation networks. Existing research predominantly examines resource attributes or single network relationships from a static perspective, lacking a processual explanation of how resource advantages achieve staged transitions within the dynamics of innovation network evolution.Addressing this gap, this study focuses on a typical “Specialized, Sophisticated, Distinctive, and Innovative” enterprise in China′s fire protection electronics industry. Grounded in a “network-resource” co-evolution perspective, it employs a longitudinal single-case study methodology. Data were triangulated from in-depth interviews, internal archives, and public documentation to systematically trace the firm′s innovation network embeddedness and resource actions across different developmental stages. Process tracing and coding analysis are utilized to unravel the underlying logic connecting innovation network evolution, resource action portfolios, and the formation of resource advantage.The findings reveal three main insights:(1)The innovation network embeddedness of “Specialized, Sophisticated, Distinctive, and Innovative” enterprises follows a phased progression, evolving from a closed ego-centric network to an industry competition network, and finally towards an industrial ecosystem network.(2)The enterprise′s resource advantage undergoes a sequential transition corresponding to “ specialization-novelty capability” “ refinement-distinctiveness capability” and ultimately “collaborative capability”. These stages respectively align with survival-oriented, development-oriented, and synergyoriented resource advantages.(3) A “bidirectional driving” co-evolution mechanism exists between the innovation network and resource advantage. Specifically, the innovation network guides the orientation of resource actions through structural empowerment, while the leapfrogging of resource advantage, in turn, reshapes the firm′s network position and influence.This study elucidates the process mechanism through which “Specialized, Sophisticated, Distinctive, and Innovative” enterprises reshape their resource advantage from the perspective of innovation network embeddedness. It extends the explanatory boundaries of resource-based theory within the context of dynamic innovation networks. The study offers contextualized insights for such enterprises, demonstrating how strategic network embedding and tailored resource actions can be leveraged to reconstruct and enhance their resource advantages amidst constraints. By highlighting the dynamic, stage-dependent interplay between network structure and resource orchestration, it contributes to a more nuanced understanding of how niche players navigate and thrive within complex innovation ecosystems.
