Study on Tourists’ Perceived Value and Willingness to Pay for the Grand Canal National Cultural Park: From the Perspective of Place Attachment
【Abstract】 National cultural parks are public spaces constructed with the primary purposes of ecological protection, cultural inheritance, and recreational provision. They are managed by the state and with tourists and residents as the main beneficiaries. Individuals’ willingness to pay is a measure of satisfaction with national cultural parks and contributes to their long-term sustainability. This study takes the Sui-Tang Grand Canal National Cultural Park in Luoyang City as a case study to explore the influence mechanism of perceived value on willingness to pay. The results show that: perceived value has a positive impact on willingness to pay, with recreational value exerting the most significant influence; perceived value has a significant positive impact on both place attachment and cultural identity, with all the sub-dimensions of perceived value significantly impact place attachment, while recreational value and cultural value significantly influence cultural identity; both place attachment and cultural identity play a significant mediating role between perceived value and willingness to pay, with place attachment demonstrating a stronger mediating effect. This study enriches the research perspective on tourists’ perceived value and willingness to pay in national cultural parks and provides references for the future sustainable development of national cultural parks.
