人工智能应用、全球价值链嵌入与产业链安全压力

The Impact of Artificial Intelligence Applications on Global Value Chain Embedding and Industrial Chain Security

【摘要】 本文采用新近取得突破性进展的大语言模型方法,构建了反映企业人工智能应用状况的新测度指标,并以此为基础检验了人工智能应用对企业全球价值链嵌入的影响。结果显示:人工智能应用显著促进了企业全球价值链嵌入度的提升,在替换大语言模型、调整被解释变量、改变估计方法后,结论仍显示稳健性;人工智能应用推动企业全球价值链嵌入的机制在于提升生产率水平,后者又通过加速技术创新以及缓解资源错配来实现;人工智能应用对于企业价值链嵌入的促进效应,在规模较小企业、非国有企业、市场化程度较低地区企业和资本密集型企业中更为显著。大变局下全球价值链体系演进凸显不确定性,人工智能应用推动企业全球价值链嵌入,同时也给产业链安全带来了更大压力。推动产业深度参与全球分工体系,还应统筹协调效率与安全的平衡,多措并举有效提升产业链应对外部不确定性的能力。

【Abstract】 This paper constructs a novel metric on enterprise AI application leveraging recent breakthroughs in large language models.Based on this metric,we examine the impact and mechanism of AI application on enterprise global value chain (GVC) embeddedness.The findings indicate that AI application significantly promotes enterprise GVC embeddedness,a conclusion robust to alternative specifications including the replacement of large language models,adjustments to the dependent variable,and changes in estimation methods.The mechanism through which AI application drives GVC embeddedness lies in its enhancement of productivity,which further accelerates technological innovation and mitigates resource misallocation.The positive effect of AI application on GVC embeddedness is more pronounced among smaller enterprises,non-state-owned enterprises,firms located in regions with lower marketization levels,and capital-intensive enterprises.The evolving uncertainty of the GVC system in a time of great change highlights the pressure on industrial chain security resulting from AI’s promotion of GVC embeddedness.
