【摘要】 推进市场一体化进程,降低区域间交易成本,建设高效规范、公平竞争、充分开放的全国统一大市场是当下应对外商直接投资(FDI)增长乏力的有效路径。本文借助2009—2021年中国197个地级市的面板数据,探讨国内市场一体化如何影响城市FDI及其内在机制。研究结果表明:国内市场一体化显著拓展了城市FDI,基于工具变量法的估计结果保持稳健;市场一体化对FDI的促进效应在东部地区城市、外资规模和城市规模较大以及处于城市群内部的城市表现更为明显;机制研究显示,制度改善效应、规模经济效应和要素配置效应是市场一体化拓展城市FDI的主要路径;国内市场一体化还进一步加强了FDI的市场寻求动机,提升了城市FDI质量,增强了城市内部企业的生存能力。本文对我国加快建设全国统一大市场、推动形成全面开放新格局具有重要的理论意义。更多还原

【Abstract】 To address the sluggish growth of foreign direct investment(FDI), promotingm arketintegration, reducing inter-regional transaction costs, and building a unified nationalmarket that is efficient, standardized, fairly competitive, and fullyopen are effective solutions. Using panel data from 197 Chinese cities spanning 2009 to 2021, this paperexamines the impact and mechanisms of domestic market integration on urban FDI. The results reveal that domestic market integration significantly expands urban FDI, and this finding remains robust under instrumental variable estimation. Heterogeneity analysis indicates that the positive effect of market integration on FDI is more ced in eastern cities, larger cities, cities with a large scale of FDI, and cities pronwithin ounurban agglomerations.M echanism analysis reveals that market integration expands urban FDI primarily throughthree channels: institutional improvement effects,economies of scale effects, and fac tor allocation effects. Further analysis demonstrates that domestic market integration alsos trengthens the market-seeking motivation of FDI, improves the quality of urban FDI, andenhances the survivability of enterprises within the city. These findings have important theoretical implications for accelerating the construction of a unified national market and fostering a new pattern of opening up in China.更多还原
