【Abstract】 As a powerful methodological tool for reconciling inconsistent research findings, meta-analysis is exerting a growing influence on the paradigmatic development of public administration and the broader social sciences. First, this study provides a concise overview of the historical evolution and distinct advantages of meta-analytic methods. Second, it systematically reviews 54 meta-analyses published in leading domestic and international public administration journals over the past two decades, mapping their publication trends and thematic focuses. Third, it summarizes ten essential operational steps for conducting rigorous meta-analyses. Finally, it introduces three advanced meta-analytic approaches, including three-level meta-analysis, and outlines their potential to foster theoretical and methodological innovation in public administration research.更多还原
