【Abstract】 At present, most silkworm varieties reared with artificial diet for the whole larval stage are high silk-yielding varieties such as ‘Haoyue × Jingsong’, which are suitable for rearing in spring and autumn.‘Nongke No. 5’ is the main variety for silkworm rearing in summer and early autumn in Chun’an County, and there have been no relevant reports on its rearing with artificial diet for the whole larval stage so far. In June 2025, Fenkou Young Silkworm Joint Rearing Professional Cooperative of Chun’an County carried out the first trial of whole-larval-stage rearing of ‘Nongke No. 5’ with artificial diet in Chun’an County, which achieved initial success.
