【摘要】 城市紧凑型和密度型发展模式深受决策者和智库研究人员的青睐。密度对城市发展既有积极影响，又有负面影响。文献对密度影响的研究既丰富又匮乏，丰富表现在影响的范围和领域的研究，匮乏表现在密度的综合影响评估及其影响的异质性(不同城市、不同城市区位的影响可能都是不同的)的研究。在综述密度影响的理论和实证研究的基础上，分析密度综合影响的异质性，就密度影响如何随城市规模和区位变化提出理论问题，在理论和实证研究都缺乏的情况下，探索性地回答密度影响如何随城市规模和区位而变化的问题。更多还原

【Abstract】 The compact and dense development pattern is widely advocated in urban policy and planning, aiming at sustainable growth. Urban density is associated with both positive and negative urban outcomes. Positive effects include agglomeration, productivity, wages and incomes, labor matching, public transport, etc., while negative effects are manifested in congestion, pollution, residential well-being, etc. This paper first briefly reviews density effects from the perspective of theoretical reasoning and empirical studies, then questions the heterogeneity of density effects with respect to city size and locations within a city. The paper attempts to answer the theoretical questions about the density effect heterogeneity in the Chinese context.更多还原
