She analyzes the motivations behind industry changes and the industrial structure in a chronological order, and simultaneously, systematically summarizes the evolution and characteristics of authenticity on social media, providing an in-depth historical observation record for global social media influencer research. Based on this book, which is a valuable comparative perspective for the study of Chinese internet celebrities, this article starts from the intervention and shaping of people’s lifestyles by the social media influencer industry on both sides, focusing on the dialogue and refinement of the concept of authenticity while examining the authenticity of online interactions. This article also summarizes the research on the creation of emotional labor through online performatives,as well as future trends in the deepening genderization and cultural-political implications of the influencer industry.
