【Abstract】 Since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, General Secretary XI Jin-ping has repeatedly emphasised the importance of all ethnic groups “clinging together like pomegranate seeds”. This has given rise to the “Red Pomegranate” spirit. The ‘Red Pomegranate’ spirit originated at the 18 th CPC National Congress, developed at the 19 th CPC National Congress, and matured at the 20 th CPC National Congress. Forged under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, it embodies the close-knit bonds and mutual support among all ethnic groups, their united struggle and shared prosperity, thereby enriching the spirit with contemporary significance. The ‘Red Pomegranate’ spirit also manifests as an external expression of promoting exchanges and integration among all ethnic groups. It serves as a symbolic representation of forging a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation and embodies the foundational meaning of building a shared spiritual home for the Chinese nation.
