Research Progress on Bioremediation of Antibiotic Resistance Gene Pollution in the Environment
【Abstract】 The spread of Antibiotic Resistance Genes(ARGs)poses a serious threat to the ecological environment and public health. ARGs may spread between different bacteria through horizontal transfer and other means, and will spread to soil, water and other environments, further exacerbating the problem of antibiotic resistance. Therefore, it is crucial to remove ARGs in the environment. Bioremediation is a technology that uses microorganisms, plants, and animals to remove or degrade environmental pollutants. It has certain potential in the remediation of ARGs. This article introduces the source and transmission mechanism of ARGs, and summarizes the current status and effects of ARGs bioremediation research from three aspects: animal remediation, plant remediation, and microbial remediation. It focuses on the reduction effect of fungal remediation on ARGs, in order to provide a reference for the technical development and practical application of ARGs reduction in the environment.
