【Abstract】 The essence of teaching, as the fundamental attribute that distinguishes teaching activities from other human activities, serves as the logical starting point for reflecting on educational theory and practice. However, understanding the essence of teaching has long been a subject of debate, often conflating the essence of teaching with the essence of the teaching process and confusing the concept of teaching with its connotations. This paper, grounded in practical teaching, employs practical thinking to further explore the essence of teaching.
