【Abstract】 Vigorously promoting scientific and technological innovation is an important epochal feature of China nowadays. Since the reform and opening up, the Communist Party of China has led the whole nation to actively explore S&T innovation, and many of the explorations have come from local practices. Especially since the 18th CPC National Congress, more comprehensive, systematic and in-depth thinking and exploration of science and technology innovation has been carried out. The global scientific and technological revolution is showing more and more accelerated progress. The country must rely on science and technology in order to be independent and self-reliant. The accelerated transformation of China’s economy is fundamentally dependent on science and technology. Scientific and technological innovation is the core essence of realizing high-quality development and fostering and developing new quality productive forces. In the face of the United States and the West ’ s unprecedented suppression of China’s scientific and technological fields, China must take the road of independent innovation in order to realize the great rejuvenation of the nation. At this stage, the promotion of scientific and technological innovation should be based on forward planning, strengthen international cooperation, focus on institutional mechanism reform, adhere to the trinity of education, science and technology, and human resources. A series of scientific and technological innovation explorations led by the Party have further improved the theoretical system of scientific and technological innovation with Chinese characteristics, revealed the advantages of a new type of state-run system in scientific and technological innovation, highlighted the decisive role of independent innovation capacity in scientific and technological self-reliance, and pushed China’s scientific and technological innovation to a series of historic achievements, laying a better foundation for the development of the new quality of productive forces.更多还原
