【Abstract】 Since the mid-nineties of last century, social and emotional learning(SEL) has become an important educational theory and practice to improve the quality of basic education worldwide. SEL not only focus on students’ cognitive development in education, but also pay attention to promoting students’ adaptation to future learning, life and work, and achieve all-round human development. SEL is also an important way to reflect the transformation of China’s basic education development mode, promote the development of educational connotation, implement the cultivation of morality, and improve the quality of students’ all-round development. The in-depth understanding of SEL theory itself is of great significance to promoting the practice of practical basic education.
