【Abstract】 By utilizing the diachronic analysis, comparative analysis and textual analysis, this paper investigates the concrete cases of the Chinese language education in Japan. It finds that Chinese is the second foreign language in various fields in Japan, but there is a significant gap between Chinese and English as its first foreign language. In the practice of online Chinese teaching in Japan, there is a generally positive attitude towards online teaching models, with a preference for using video teaching resources such as YouTube.
