【Abstract】 The great founding spirit of the Party reflects the general law of the Yan’an spirit and the Yan’an spirit represents the specific development of it in north Shaanxi. The two are connected as origin and stream, foundation and branch. Throughout the Party’s century-long history, the Yan’an spirit has continuously evolved and enriched the great founding spirit of the Party in terms of truth, practicality, struggle and the people-centered nature. To continue promoting them in the new era, we should uphold contemporary Chinese Marxism, emphasize the spirit of historical initiative, maintain a fighting spirit, and steadfastly stand with the people.
