【Abstract】 Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, General Secretary Xi Jinping has put forward a series of new ideas, viewpoints, and judgments on cultural construction in the new era, profoundly revealing the laws of socialist cultural construction with Chinese characteristics and opening up a new realm of Marxist cultural theory, especially the sinicized and modernized Marxist cultural thought. As the cultural chapter of Xi Jinping’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, Xi Jinping’s Cultural Thought is based on the great practice of cultural construction under the leadership of the Party in the new era. It scientifically answers the major historical questions of what kind of socialist culture with Chinese characteristics to adhere to and develop in the new era, and how to adhere to and develop socialist culture with Chinese characteristics. It proposes that adhering to cultural confidence is the spiritual support for realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, that building modern civilization of the Chinese nation is an important content of the new cultural mission in the new era, and that“two combinations”is the only way to open up and develop socialism with Chinese characteristics.
