【Abstract】 In the new era,the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China has established the main line of ethnic work to forge the sense of community for Chinese nation,which has pointed out the correct direction for strengthening and improving the Party’s ethnic work. This ethnic work mainline is the creative contribution made by the Party Central Committee in the new era to the localization and modernization of Marxist ethnic theory by combining the basic principles of Marxism with the practice of realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,as well as the great unity,people-oriented,and patriotic spirit in excellent traditional Chinese culture. In terms of practical approaches,it is necessary to lay the economic foundation by building a unified national market for the Chinese nation,promote communication and integration among various ethnic groups,and lay the cultural foundation by building a shared spiritual home for the Chinese nation.
