【Abstract】 Big idea has the attributes of core, aggregation, inspiration, transferability and persistence. As a fulcrum in the current curriculum and teaching reform, big idea can leverage the construction of interdisciplinary thematic learning courses. Research suggests that big idea can serve as the logical framework for content organization, the target for penetrating disciplinary literacy, and the anchor point for returning to core concepts.The basic principles for constructing interdisciplinary curriculum based on big idea include rooted discipline,moderate complexity, systematic design, people-oriented education,clear goals and resource integration.
