【Abstract】 It is an important task of ideological and political education in colleges and universities to cultivate new people who have the courage to shoulder the great responsibility of national rejuvenation. In Chaoshan culture, such as Chaoshan language and literature, Chaoshan folk culture are effective carriers to cultivate college students’ cultural confidence. Careful study, respect for culture and education, pioneering spirit, and courage to innovate are spiritual traits that enhance the humanistic qualities of college students, which deserve further exploration and utilization by colleges and universities.
