【Abstract】 In order to test the actual impact of national high-tech zones on enhancing the overall competitiveness of the region, the paper selects the panel data of national high-tech zones in 29 provinces across China from 2016 to 2021 to conduct empirical analysis. The results show that national high-tech zones have a significant positive effect in promoting innovation capacity, and their impact on environmental regulation and factor mobility shows significant heterogeneity across different geographic regions. In particular, national high-tech zones in the western region are more significant in stimulating innovation vitality, while in the eastern region there are diversified performances in environmental regulation and factor mobility; compared with the northern region, national high-tech zones in the southern region are more effective in enhancing innovation capacity.更多还原
