【Abstract】 The composite character graph is a creative endeavor where individuals amalgamate several Chinese characters into a single composite entity,utilizing Chinese characters as the foundational elements. It represents a variant form stemming from the evolution of Chinese characters and constitutes a significant aspect of folk culture and decorative arts inquiry. This paper grounded in the concept and utility of Chinese character graphics,systematically delineates the historical development and cultural connotations of compound characters. Moreover,it conducts a detailed analysis of the compositional techniques employed in compound character creation,elucidating the design practices and applications of compound characters within the auspicious cultural context across contemporary font design,logo design,poster design,brand image design,and experimental art.
