【Abstract】 Popular science activities serve as a pivotal role to cultivate teenagers’ interest and comprehension in traffic science. These activities primarily encompass cutting-edge popular science lectures, visits to major traffic projects, hands-on experience with advanced scientific research equipments(such as driving simulators), and engagement in scientific and technological innovation projects for teenagers. There are challenges in incorporating ideological and political education(IPE) into popular science activities, including unclear condensation of potential IPE elements and unclear means of integration. This paper delves into the potential IPE elements embedded within popular science activities,and proposes strategies for seamlessly integrating IPE throughout the entire process of popular science initiatives.
