【Abstract】 “Data colonialism” means that digital monopolies and Western developed countries exploit use algorithms as a means and data as raw materials to plunder wealth and resources from the people around the world, particularly developing countries. With the help of the power resources held by Western countries, contemporary “digital colonists” have established a “digital colonial system” composed of “digital feudalism” and “digital monopoly.” Compared with the Internet era, “digital colonialism” has been exerting a more negative impact on the people of the world and economically less developed countries.
