嗜酸性粒细胞水平及变化与COVID-19临床治疗结果的关系
The association between eosinophil levels and changes and clinical outcomes in COVID-19 treatment
【摘要】 目的 嗜酸性粒细胞在免疫中发挥重要作用。血清嗜酸性粒细胞水平及变化与新型冠状病毒肺炎治疗结局的关系目前尚不明确。本研究探讨血清嗜酸性粒细胞水平及变化与新冠肺炎临床治疗结果的关系。方法 收集2022年12月至2023年3月期间,因新冠肺炎感染入住南方医科大学南方医院呼吸与危重症医学科194名患者的数据进行回顾性分析,寻找患者的治疗结果与嗜酸性粒细胞水平变化的关联性。结果 49.5%的住院患者出现了嗜酸性粒细胞绝对值减少,且嗜酸性粒细胞的水平不受性别、年龄和潜在合并症的影响。治疗结果较差的新冠患者嗜酸性粒细胞绝对值更低,受试者工作特征曲线(ROC)绘制确定的预测值为0.015×10~9/L。住院期间嗜酸性粒细胞恢复正常可能预示着更好的治疗结局(p=0.151)。结论 新冠肺炎患者入院嗜酸性粒细胞水平可以作为预后预测因素之一;治疗过程中应密切注意嗜酸性粒细胞水平变化以避免病情恶化。
【Abstract】 Objective Eosinophils play an important role in immunity. At present, the relationship between the level and changes of serum eosinophils and the treatment outcome of COVID-19 is not clear. This study aims to explore the relationship between serum eosinophilic granulocyte levels and changes with clinical outcomes in COVID-19 patients.Methods Data from 194 patients admitted to the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine at Nanfang Hospital of Southern Medical University between December 2022 and March 2023 for COVID-19 infection were retrospectively analyzed to explore the association between treatment outcomes and changes in eosinophilic granulocyte levels.Results The absolute value of eosinophilic granulocyte decreased in 49.5% of inpatients, and the level of eosinophilic granulocyte was not affected by gender, age and potential complications. The absolute value of eosinophilic granulocyte in COVID-19 patients with poor treatment results was lower, and the predicted value determined by receiver operating characteristic curve(ROC) was 0.015× 10~9/L. The recovery of eosinophils during hospitalization may predict a better treatment outcome(p=0.151).Conclusion The level of eosinophilic granulocyte in COVID-19 patients can be used as one of the prognostic factors. During the treatment, we should pay close attention to the changes of eosinophilic granulocyte level to avoid the deterioration of the disease.
