【Abstract】 The ideological and political construction of professional courses is an important measure to implement the fundamental task of building morality and cultivate talents. Optics is a compulsory course for physics majors, which has abundant ideological and political elements. This article starts with the phenomenon of light and explores the integration of the “Four Confidences” into the teaching of optical courses for undergraduate students. The paper explores the “confidence in culture” in geometric optics and wave optics, as well as the “confidence in system” in the principles of optical instruments, and explores the “confidence in socialist path”, the “confidence in theory”, the “confidence in system”, and the “confidence in cultural” in modern optics.
