不同甲基丙烯酸酯单体对PDLC薄膜性能影响研究

【摘要】 探索了甲基丙烯酸环己酯(CHMA)和甲基丙烯酸月桂酯(LMA)对聚合物分散液晶(PDLC)薄膜电光性能的影响,通过固定其他组分,分别调节CHMA或LMA对丙烯酸丁酯替代的比例设计了两组实验,以探求它们对PDLC薄膜性能的影响,同时对PDLC薄膜的电光性能和微观结构进行了研究。结果表明,含有刚性基团的CHMA可以使PDLC体系有效降低开态透过率,同时提升关态透过率,从而提高PDLC薄膜对比度,但会导致饱和电压升高;含有非刚性基团的LMA在质量添加量达到4%以上时可以在保证较好对比度的情况下,有效降低PDLC薄膜的饱和电压。在PDLC薄膜中同时使用CHMA和LMA,可以使PDLC薄膜在较低的驱动电压下实现较高的对比度。本研究设计的各组方案中,样品B4(6%1,4-丁二醇二丙烯酸酯、12%CHMA、6%丙烯酸丁酯、6%LMA)是最理想的方案,可以在23.2V的饱和电压下达到178的对比度。

【Abstract】 The effects of cyclohexyl methacrylate(CHMA) and lauryl methacrylate(LMA) on the electro-optical properties of polymer dispersed liquid crystal(PDLC) films were explored.Two sets of experiments were designed by fixing other components and adjusting the substitution ratio of butyl acrylate by CHMA or LMA respectively to explore their effects on the properties of PDLC films.The electro-optical properties and microstructure of PDLC films were characterized.The results showed that CHMA containing rigid groups can effectively reduce the on-state transmittance and increase the off-state transmittance of the PDLC system, thereby promoting the improvement of the contrast ratio of PDLC films.However, the side effect was an increase in saturation voltage.When the mass addition of LMA containing non-rigid groups reaches more than 4%,the saturation voltage of PDLC films was effectively reduced while ensuring good contrast.The simultaneous use of CHMA and LMA in PDLC films can enable PDLC films to achieve a higher contrast ratio under a lower driving voltage.Among the various schemes designed in this paper, sample B4(6% 1,4-butanediol diacrylate, 12% cyclohexyl methacrylate, 6% butyl acrylate, 6% lauryl methacrylate) was the most ideal scheme, which achieved a contrast ratio of 178 at a saturation voltage of 23.2V.
