【Abstract】 The tibiofibular syndesmosis injury associated with ankle fracture is a common ankle injury in clinical practice and tibiofibular syndesmosis is very important for ankle stability. In terms of treatment, metal screws have always been the gold standard for the treatment of tibiofibular syndesmosis injury. At present, the development of absorbable screws, suture button and enhanced repair with anchor suture of lower tibiofibular syndesmosis ligaments provide a new idea for the clinical treatment of tibiofibular syndesmosis injury, which is more in line with biomechanical requirements.
