【Abstract】 Kim Saryan, a Korean writer during the Japanese colonial period, was influenced by his contemporary Chinese writer Lu Xun, and thus wrote The Earl of Q. It can be said that the prototype of this Q Earl in Kim Saryan’s novel originated from the Q in Lu Xun’s The True Story of Ah Q, and The Earl of Q is a masterpiece that remodeled and reinvented The True Story of Ah Q. Q Earl and Ah Q are highly similar in terms of historical background, identity and personality, but at the same time, there are some differences in terms of their characterization. The reasons for the comparison result can be explained from three aspects: the historical background, writers’ expectation for the characters, and the relationship between the protagonist and other characters.更多还原
