【Abstract】 In 2022, Yoon Suk-yeol was elected as the President of ROK, marking the return of conservative forces to governance after five years, and a growing trend of conservatism in ROK politics and society. The conservative hue of the Yoon Suk-yeol administration is deeply rooted in the evolution of ROK’s New Right movement, exerting profound influences on the domestic political landscape and foreign policy. Politically, the New Right emphasizes a deliberative democracy based on the rule of law and elitism; economically, it advocates for a free market system, minimal government intervention, and emphasizes the market autonomy of individual enterprises. Representing the New Right, the Yoon Suk-yeol administration not only inherits the core ideologies of the New Right but also extensively appoints its key figures in personnel arrangements, striving to form a cohesive policy-making team. In terms of foreign relations and diplomatic policies, the Yoon Suk-yeol administration actively promotes so-called“value diplomacy,”seeking to establish tighter alliances and cooperative relations with countries that share similar values and political systems, thereby reinforcing ROK’s position and influence in the international community. The rise of the New Right and the policy direction of the Yoon Suk-yeol administration have significant impacts on the geopolitical landscape of Northeast Asia. However, the effectiveness of the Yoon Suk-yeol administration’s policies also faces constraints from various complex domestic and international factors, such as domestic political divides,economic and social development needs, and changes in the international environment, all of which will significantly influence the implementation and performance of the Yoon Suk-yeol administration’s policies.更多还原
