【Abstract】 London Zhu-Zhi-Ci,written by Zhang Zuyi with his own experience, shows the complex mentality of modern Chinese people to look at the West, which is of great significance in investigating China’s long modernization process.Zhang Zuyi, who is situated in a non-Chinese cultural setting, often selects and filters Western landscapes through his Chinese perspective.Zhang Zuyi’s record of the West is not an objective record, but a view of “the other” from the perspective of “the self”.London presents an alienated Western impression in the eyes of the Chinese people, which can be said to be the manifestation of the history of the Chinese nation’s ideology and mentality in the 19th century.In terms of literary expression, London Zhu-Zhi-Ci also demonstrates the author’s attempt and pursuit shifted from inherent experience to new patterns.更多还原
