【Abstract】 After the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the Party Central Committee, with Mao Zedong at its core, made the strategic decision to develop China’s atomic bombs and satellite, in spite of the harsh conditions. As the major leader and top commander of this project, Zhou Enlai took the charge to coordinate efforts to set up the leadership and research institutions for the launch project, to formulate the visionary plan and strategic arrangements for developing cutting-edge technologies; he spared no efforts to organize and build the talent team to cultivate and build up China’s strength in science and technology on our own; he led and engaged himself with each and every detailed job and key link of the great project, contributing greatly to China’s“3-phase leap”from the successful launch of the nuclear warhead to the launch of the hydrogen bomb, and then to the launch of the man-made satellite. As the founding Prime Minister of the PRC, Zhou Enlai devoted himself wholeheartedly to the project and made indelible achievements, contributing extraordinarily to the spirit of“Two Bombs and One Satellite”.更多还原
