h-BN对蠕墨铸铁表面激光改性区切削性能的影响
Effect of Hexagonal Boron Nitride Addition on the Cutting Performance of the Laser Modified Zone of Vermicular Graphite Cast Iron
【摘要】 为了研究添加h-BN粉末对改性层切削性能的影响,以改善切削刀具的磨破损问题。通过激光改性在蠕墨铸铁基体上制备了含h-BN改性层,研究了改性区显微组织的变化,在不同切削速度下对改性层进行铣削实验,研究h-BN对切削力、已加工表面粗糙度以及刀具磨损的影响。实验结果表明,改性层的显微组织主要由柱状结构和树状结构组成。在相同切削速度下,切削含h-BN样品的主切削力及已加工表面粗糙度均低于无h-BN样品。刀具失效机理分析表明,崩刃、剥落和氧化磨损是刀具前刀面的主要磨损机制,h-BN的添加并未改变切削刀具的磨损机制,但可有效降低刀具磨破损程度。
【Abstract】 In order to study the effect of adding h-BN powder on the cutting performance of the modified layer and improve the wear of the cutting tool.The h-BN modified zone was prepared on vermicular graphite cast iron.The microstructure and microhardness of the modified zone were also investigated.Conducted milling experiments on the modified zone at different cutting speeds and effects of h-BN on cutting force, machined surface roughness and tool wear were studied.The results revealed that the microstructure of the modified zone was primarily consisted of tree structures and columnar.The machined surface roughness and main cutting force of the h-BN samples were lower than those of the h-BN-free samples at the same cutting speed.An analysis of the tool failure mechanism revealed that chipping, spalling, and oxidation wear constituted the main wear mechanisms of the tool rake face.Adding h-BN did not change the wear mechanism of the cutting tool but could effectively reduce the degree of tool wear.
