【Abstract】 From the perspective of the speaker’s expression, this paper summarizes the semantic types of “concession—transition” applicable to Suiran(虽然) and Biekan(别看) respectively. For the semantic types applicable to both, we discuss the conditions of usage of Suiran(虽然) and Biekan(别看) with the audience’s expectations and registers in the interactive conversation: Suiran(虽然) is used in the interactive registers involving the audience’s actual or potential expectations; Biekan(别看) is often used in discourse registers that do not involve audience’s expectations and where the speaker directly expresses his views.更多还原
