数字化怀旧:游戏玩家自我修复与反思中的文化主体意识建构
Digital Nostalgia:The Construction of Cultural Subjectivity’s Consciousness in Game Players’ Self Restoration and Reflection
【摘要】 作为全球化文化的一个特色,怀旧既是对一个不同时代的怀想,更是人类超越时间的不可逆性,并重新发现身份的可能过程。追随博伊姆提出的修复型怀旧和反思型怀旧理论,结合对游戏玩家的质化研究,有助于拓展数字化怀旧的解释框架。数字化传播生态为作为人类自我意识探索的怀旧提供了交流方式、记忆手段和时空转移等多种可能性。数字化怀旧面向人类在数字化生存中重拾“遗迹”的生命历程,展现出作为“修复型—反思型”怀旧的中转站和参照物的重要价值,并在某种程度上缓释怀旧类型划分的模糊性等问题。数字化怀旧极大承载和包容着数字传播主体的怀旧实践、情感释放和关系连接,肯定他们在多重文化身份的叠加和变更中延续与拓展文化主体意识的积极价值。
【Abstract】 As a characteristic of globalized culture, nostalgia is not only a yearning for a different era, but also a possible process for human beings to transcend the irreversibility of time and then rediscover their identity through people’s nostalgia. This paper adopts from Svetlana Boym’s theories that divide nostalgia into two types what are restorative nostalgia and reflective nostalgia. After completing our research with the qualitative research on game players, a new explanatory framework of digital nostalgia is expanded. The digital communication ecology provides multiple possibilities for nostalgia as the exploration of human self-consciousness, such as communication approaches, memory techniques, and time-space transfer. Digital nostalgia is oriented towards the life course of human beings regaining the “relics” in being digital, demonstrating its significant value as a transfer station and reference object of “restorative-reflective” nostalgia, and to some extent alleviating the ambiguity of nostalgic type division and other issues. Digital nostalgia greatly carries and contains the nostalgic practices, emotional release, and relationship connections of digital communication subjects, affirming their positive value of continuing and expanding cultural subjectivity’s consciousness through the superposition and transformation of multiple cultural identities.
