Study of Stress State Related to Driving Tasks for Novice Drivers in the Military
【Abstract】 Objective To investigate the stress state related to the driving training task of the novice military drivers and analyze their influencing factors, to provide a theoretical basis for assessing the driving task cognition level and task processing ability of military drivers, and improving the driving task-related stress response methods of military drivers. Methods A total of 117 novice drivers from a training unit were investigated with a general data questionnaire and the Chinese Version of Dundee Stress State Questionnaire(DSSQ).Results 117 valid questionnaires were collected, and the effective recovery rate was 95.12%.The scores of energetic arousal、task interest、tension and self-focus of first-order dimensions increased, while the scores of cognitive interference(task-relevant)decreased after driving task(P<0.05).The scores of task engagement and distress of second-order factors increased(P<0.05).The results of hierarchical regression analysis showed that mission experience, smoking and autonomous exercise during training were the influencing factors of task-related stress of the novice military drivers(P<0.05).Conclusion The stress state of the novice military drivers increases after driving task, which is mainly manifested by the improvement of task engagement and the increase of distress, and they have certain ability to cope with task-related stress, but there are differences in coping strategies. The improvement of coping strategies can reduce the stress response of novice military drivers in the pre-,middle, and rear stages of driving tasks, adjust their physical and mental state, and ensure task safety.
