【Abstract】 “Rebuilding Individual Ownership” is Marx’s scientific assumption about the ownership structure of the future socialist society in Capital. It is the specific application and scientific conclusion of historical materialism. For a long time, the understanding of its basic connotation has been controversial in the academic circles at home and abroad. Since the reform and opening up, focusing on how to improve the ownership structure under the socialist market economy, exploring the effective realization form of the public sector of the economy, giving full play to the main role of the public sector of the economy, and finally achieving the common prosperity of all people, the scientific connotation of“rebuilding individual ownership”and its related issues have always been one of the hot and difficult issues discussed in the theoretical circle. In fact, following the theoretical logic of historical materialism, the scientific connotation of“rebuilding individual ownership”is to build a united public ownership of means of production jointly owned by all workers with the ultimate goal of achieving common prosperity for all people.
