【摘要】 秦穆公，为夷狄之君，所以名列春秋五霸者，原因有二：一，秦穆定晋之乱，成文之功，左右霸主，使中国再振。二，虽贪利违谏，千里袭郑；崤之战，为晋军所败，匹马只轮无返者，然穆公知错悔过，任贤增德，《左传》以为贤，遂称美之，曰“遂霸西戎”。晋文公在位，秦晋相善；文公即世，秦晋交恶，崤之战实为分界。其本末原委，《春秋》所书，可见端倪。《左传》诠释《春秋》,尤有相应之历史叙事，以见终始本末。除了以史传经外，《左传》颇以“君子曰”发表己见，以书法之解释传《春秋》,以简捷之判断传《春秋》,如《公羊传》《谷梁传》之以义传经者，《左传》亦多有之。《左传》传经之模式，“秦穆公遂霸西戎”之本末，其叙事与解释，已具体而微，可见一斑。更多还原

【Abstract】 Duke Mu of Qin was a ruler of the barbarians. He was one of the Five Hegemonies of the Spring and Autumn Period because of two reasons: First, Duke Mu of Qin settled the internal turmoil in Jin and contributed to the hegemony of Duke Wen of Jin, thus revitalizing Huaxia. Second, although he was greedy for profit and disobeyed advice, he attacked Zheng by thousands of miles; In the War of Yao, he was defeated by Jin’s army and lost his entire army. However, Duke Mu knew his faults and repented, and appointed the men of merit to promote morality. In Zuo Zhuan he was considered very wise and virtuous, and praised by saying “Thus he dominated Xirong”. During the reign of Duke Wen of Jin, Qin and Jin were on good terms; after the death of Duke Wen, Qin and Jin turned against each other, with the War of Yao as the demarcation point. The history of the war can be traced in Chun Qiu. The interpretation of Chun Qiu in Zuo Zhuan, in particular, has a corresponding historical narrative to present the whole story. In addition to using history to illustrate the classics, Zuo Zhuan expresses its own views through the phrase “the gentleman says”.
