【Abstract】 Based on many years of clinical experience and the theory of deficiency,phlegm and blood stasis,Professor HE Hua proposes that the root cause of the occurrence of small cerebral vascular disease is the deficiency of vitality,the key to its formation is the obstruction of phlegm and blood stasis,and the important mechanism of its recurrence and progression is the chronic disease entering the collateral. Buqi Tongluo Xiaotan therapy is determined to be the treatment of small cerebral vascular disease,and the empirical Buqi Tongluo Xiaotan Formula（补气通络消痰方） is prescribed,which is applied in the clinical practice and the effect is remarkable.
