【Abstract】 Inventory management is a critical element of supply chain management, while the first established and the most fundamental inventory model is the economic order quantity(EOQ) model. This paper introduces the origin and development of the EOQ model, as well as the historic background of the model and the life of its creator. From this, we can realize that creating an original model requires not only external environment such as favorable time and place, but also more importantly, curiosity and the awareness of finding and solving real-world problems.更多还原
