【Abstract】 The relationship between architecture and structure has been a longstanding topic in the field of architecture. Over the past decade, architect Zhu Xiaofeng and structural engineer Zhang Zhun collaborated on a series of architectural projects. This collaboration provides a profound exploration into the collaborative patterns between structural engineers and architects in contemporary Chinese architecture. Through interviews with the two professionals, this paper, guided by the notion of structural consciousness, focuses on the analysis of the folded plate series, aiming to reveal a structural strategy that emphasizes attention to technological evolution.
