【Abstract】 The report of the 20th CPC National Congress systematically expounds the five characteristics and essential requirements of "Chinese-style modernization", human and economic geography should respond positively. In response to Chinese modernization, human and economic geography should establish and follow three basic ideas: resource saving idea,comprehensive idea and strategic thinking idea. The main research fields of human and economic geography include:rural revitalization, new urbanization, territorial space planning and development.
