紫外交联UHMWPE纤维的耐热性能研究

【摘要】 超高分子质量聚乙烯(UHMWPE)纤维是已知比强度和比模量最高的纤维,但是其耐热性能较差,因而耐热改性是当前UHMWPE纤维的一个重要研究方向。对自制紫外交联UHMWPE纤维(CL)和2种线性市售UHMWPE纤维(A、B)的耐热性能进行了比较研究。在测定凝胶质量分数后,采用纤维强伸度仪、声速取向仪以及动态热机械分析仪等仪器,对CL及市售纤维的耐热性能进行了系统评价及讨论。CL的热断裂温度较市售纤维提高了近70℃,表明紫外交联改性后UHMWPE纤维的耐热性能有了显著提升。

【Abstract】 Ultra high molecular weight polyethylene(UHMWPE) fiber is known to have the highest specific strength and specific modulus, but its heat resistance is poor. As a result, the heat resistance modification is an important research direction of UHMWPE fiber. The heat resistant properties of self-made UV crosslinked UHMWPE fiber(CL) and two marketable linear UHMWPE fibers(A, B) were compared. After the mass fraction of gel was determined, the heat resistant properties of CL and marketable fibers were systematically evaluated and discussed by means of using tensile tester, sound velocimeter, dynamic mechanical analysis and so on. Research results show that the thermal fracture temperature of CL is nearly 70 ℃ higher than those of marketable fibers, revealing that the heat resistance of the modified UHMWPE fiber is significantly improved with UV crosslinking.
