【Abstract】 In forensic evidence identification, there is currently no uniform technical specification for the identification of half-sibling relationship. The most commonly used method is to calculate the half-sibling relationship index between the two identified individuals through the ITO method for determination. However, in some of the actual prosecution cases, the threshold could not be reached even with the addition of a greater number of STR motifs. This paper explores the identification of half-siblings by means of a family tree reconstruction method. The formulas for the calculation of the parentage index were derived based on the participation or non-participation of the biological mother of the examined child in the identification and the different putative genotypes of the absent identifiers, respectively.更多还原
