【Abstract】 In view of the fact that most of the relevant studies focus on the literature itself, the concern and preference of core scholars are not fully explored, and the understanding of the ability of the academic groups to appreciate high-value information is not clear enough. Therefore, this paper proposes a method to identify research hotspots and frontiers in the field with the help of academic communities. Based on the complete citation data of 20 core journals,an index of scholars’ attention is constructed to screen the high profile scholars group. Then, this group is taken as the representative of the academic community, and the research hotspots and frontiers in the field are found by mining the keywords in the cited literature and cited literature.
