Goal Cognition of College Students Majoring in Public Health under Background of Routine COVID-19 Epidemic Prevention and Control: Based on Cross-sectional Study in Certain Medical College
【Abstract】 To anonymously collect basic characteristics, cognition on college and goal-related cognition of the students majoring in public health in a college via Wenjuanxin platform, using the self-designed questionnaires. The descriptive statistics, chi-square test and multiple logistic regression were applied.A total of 1209 valid questionnaires of college students in grade 1-5 were collected. In general, the sample students showed correct cognition on college. The percentage of the students who claimed clear goals was 27.7% on enrollment and 61.5% at present.51.5% of students had thought personal goals/life plans carefully in the middle school, and the percentage was 84.3% at present. The multivariate analysis showed that the leading relevant factor of clear goals in colleges was whether to think carefully under the background of the routine COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control, and the pandemic itself was not an influencing factor. To participate in goals-related lectures/training/courses in middle schools and discussion among peers or classmates were beneficial to set clear goals, and the guidance from parents and other elders was of only limited effect on defining clear personal goals. The personal background factors, such as gender and age, etc.,played different roles among students of different majors.
