【Abstract】 Fluorine is the element which is used in oral clinics. The problem that how to use it to prevent and treat the initial caries has become one of the keys in the research of caries. Initial caries are caused by alternating demineralization and remineralization of the teeth. Fluoride participates in the formation of fluorapatite during demineralization and remineralization of the teeth, in which it plays a preventive role. In daily life, fluoride can be used in two ways: systemic application and topical application.
