Mental Health Status and Influencing Factors of Participants in Anti-epidemic Community of COVID-19
【Abstract】 OBJECTIVE To understand the mental health status of participants in the anti-epidemic community of COVID-19and explore its influencing factors. METHODS The demographic characteristics, work units, employment methods, working years, weekly working hours and the proportion of epidemic prevention working hours of the participants in the anti-epidemic community in Guangzhou were collected through online questionnaires. The mental health status of them was investigated by using the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale, and the influencing factors of mental health status were analyzed by using the binary logistic regression model. RESULTS The detection rates of depression, anxiety and stress were 57.9%, 63.5% and 50.8% among 1 042 participants in the anti-epidemic community. Binary logistic regression analysis results showed that the education background was college or higher vocational education(OR=2.041), bachelor degree or above(OR=2.934), working years from one year to less than five years(OR=1.186), six years to less than ten years(OR=1.906), working hours more than 70 hours per week(OR=4.074), epidemic prevention working hours accounting for 80%~90%(OR=1.799) and epidemic prevention working hours accounting for 100%(OR=2.282) were risk factors for mental health. Female(OR=0.645) was the protective factor of mental health. CONCLUSION Community epidemic prevention workers generally have depression, anxiety and stress. Long working hours and a high proportion of working hours involved in anti-epidemic work both increase the risk of psychological problems, and are affected by gender, educational background and working years. Attention should be paid to the psychological problem screening and intervention of community epidemic prevention personnel.
