【Abstract】 The Shanghai Cooperation Organization(SCO) is an international organization initiated by China and named after its own city. Since its establishment in 2001, the Organization has gone through 21 years of development. Remarkable achievements have been made in the three areas of political and security cooperation, economic and trade cooperation and people-to-people exchanges, which have greatly promoted the economic development of all countries and improved people’s well-being. At present, the total number of SCO member states, observer states and dialogue partners has increased to 26. It has become an important platform for cooperation among emerging economies and developing countries, and the international influence of the SCO is growing day by day. The global economy and trade are facing profound changes. The global economic recovery is fragile and weak, and emerging economies and developing countries are taking a big hit. Against this backdrop, the 22nd meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the SCO, held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, in mid-September, focused on cooperation, aimed at boosting confidence and injecting new impetus into the regional economic cooperation of the Organisation.更多还原
